Amanda Manitach

Amanda Manitach has carved a dynamic presence in Seattle’s contemporary art scene.

She is a multi-faceted artist who balances curating art exhibitions at Seattle University’s Hedreen Gallery and writing art reviews for the City Arts Magazine.  Now, Amanda will share yet another aspect of herself with the community by exhibiting her first solo show at the Bryan Ohno Gallery.  This show will present her latest works on paper where she continues to explore her affinity for provocative literature and imagery by creating what Manitach describes as “watery and sexy” portraits of fleeting thoughts. Through the light trace of her graphite pencil the rendered figures blush with pale touches of watercolor, Manitach enchants the viewer with thoughts of sex, death, beauty and all the confusion that comes with such associations.
